Question: Can a ncbtmb certified massage therapy technician take insurance? (Posted by: jonathansha2008 on 2009-05-10 17:51:34) I have just past the Ncbtmb test for Body work & Massage Therapy.I am wondering if I could take insurance if a customer's insurance covers it in Thousand Oaks , California .Let me know please.Thanks. This involves getting an NPI number, then contacting EACH insurance company you want to be a provider for, get a number from each of them, then WAIT....and wait. It'll take at least several weeks, if not months, so go through the approval process. Make sure you have your license, liability insurance, etc up to date. But the long and the short of it is, yes, you can. But it takes time and perseverance.
